“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give;
not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

2 Corinthians 9:7

WE GIVE BECAUSE...
GOD MADE US STEWARDS OVER THE EARTH

Stewardship is a lifestyle based on the Christian belief that God is the rightful owner of everything (Psalm 24:1) and that we are his chosen stewards (caretakers) over the earth. He gave us the responsibility to do with it what he wants to be done. Our financial generosity shows the reflection of our heart. It is also the primary way in which God blesses his people and advances his Kingdom in the earth. "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:19-21)

IT IS MOTIVATED BY THE HEART, NOT OUT OF OBLIGATION

We give because God is a Giver. He gave his only begotten Son, Jesus to us as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. We in turn offer ourselves (and possessions) as sacrifices to him because of his unmerited favor and grace. It is a choice of the heart, in gratitude to his goodness to us. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

A TITHE IS A COMMANDMENT FROM GOD

A Tithe is 10 percent of our income or increase that we give back as an offering to God and is considered Holy. "And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord." (Leviticus 27:30)

An Offering is over and above the tithe and puts you in position to receive more of the abundance in provision that God provides. "And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord." (Leviticus 27:32)

THERE ARE BENEFITS OF GIVING TITHES & OFFERINGS

God will greatly multiply your seed sown that you offer to God, some 10, some 20, some a hundredfold. "And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. And they did all eat, and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men." (Mark 6:41-44)
